Kregg Lumpkin (Seattle Seahawks)

Seahawks agreed to terms with RB Kregg Lumpkin, formerly of the Bucs.
Lumpkin is a serviceable pass protector and plays on special teams, but he offers next to no explosiveness as a runner. He'll compete for a roster spot.

Chris Chamberlain (New Orleans Saints)

Saints agreed to terms with OLB Chris Chamberlain on a three-year contract.
He's reunited with defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, under whom Chamberlain spent the last three seasons. The 26-year-old started 13-of-16 games in 2011, racking up 81 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, and an interception. Look for Chamberlain to compete with Scott Shanle to start at weak-side 'backer.

Brian Hoyer (New England Patriots)

Patriots signed restricted free agent QB Brian Hoyer to a one-year, $1.92 million contract.
So much for exploring his opportunities to land a starting job. Hoyer's quick signing suggests his agent realized no team was going to forfeit a second-round pick to take a chance on the inexperienced signal-caller. Barring a trade, Hoyer will back up Tom Brady for another season before reaching the open market in 2013. The Pats could get a comp pick back if he gets a big deal next year.

Contract details:
3/23/2012: Signed a one-year, $1.927 million contract.

Vikings re-signed WLB Erin Henderson

Vikings re-signed WLB Erin Henderson.
Henderson, who's only 25, is a favorite of the website Pro Football Focus for his run-stopping ability. While Henderson came off the field on passing downs all last season, he may emerge as an every-down linebacker with free agent MLB E.J. Henderson, Erin's older brother, likely on the outs this year..

Contract details:
3/23/2012: Signed a one-year, $2 million contract.

Vikings re-signed WR Devin Aromashodu to a one-year contract

Vikings re-signed WR Devin Aromashodu to a one-year contract.
Aromashodu has intriguing size (6'2/201) and straight-line speed, but he's a stiff route runner and struggles to get open. Still a veteran of Bill Musgrave's scheme and an effective blocker, Aromashodu returns as a No. 4 receiver in Minnesota. He managed 26 receptions for 468 yards and one TD last season.

Donnie Avery (Indianapolis Colts)

Colts signed WR Donnie Avery, formerly of the Titans.
The snakebitten former 33rd overall pick in the draft, Avery racked up 100 receptions for 1,263 yards and eight touchdowns during his first two NFL seasons before tearing his right ACL in August of 2010. Avery did post three catches for 45 yards and a touchdown in Week 17 of 2011, but he did nothing in between. The 28-year-old (in June) is still certainly worth a flier. While brittle and limited physically, Avery runs like the wind when healthy.

Daniel Muir (Green Bay Packers)

Packers signed DT Daniel Muir, formerly of the Colts.
Muir, 28, goes 6-foot-2, 312 and will likely compete for a roster spot at nose tackle behind B.J. Raji. Muir is a journeyman, No. 5 defensive tackle type.

Jamaal Anderson (Cincinnati Bengals)

Bengals signed DE Jamaal Anderson, formerly of the Colts.
Joining Derrick Harvey, Anderson is the second former No. 8 pick in the draft to surface with Cincinnati on the same day. Still only 26 years old, Anderson was a rotational left end and defensive tackle in Indy last season, managing just 24 tackles and three sacks in 15 games. Pro Football Focus did grade Anderson as a serviceable run defender, but he's been a major NFL bust.

Derrick Harvey (Cincinnati Bengals)

Bengals signed DE Derrick Harvey, formerly of the Broncos.
The eighth pick in the 2008 draft, Harvey has been a near-complete bust, managing just eight sacks in 52 career appearances. Harvey couldn't get on the field in Denver last year, and goes to Cincinnati to compete for a roster spot.

Bengals re-signed OT Anthony Collins

Bengals re-signed OT Anthony Collins.
Collins, 26, will return as the Bengals' "swing" tackle behind LT Andrew Whitworth and RT Andre Smith. Young with a solid track record in 18 career starts, Collins has encountered work ethic and character red flags since coming out of Kansas in 2008. His signing is still a strong one for the Bengals.

Panthers signed WR Chris Manno, formerly of the Chiefs

Panthers signed WR Chris Manno, formerly of the Chiefs.
A former undrafted free agent out of Hofstra, Manno is a slot receiver type at 5-foot-10, 185 and has spent time in the arena ranks. He's an NFL long shot.

Corey Graham (Baltimore Ravens)

Ravens signed DB Corey Graham, formerly of the Bears, to a two-year contract.
The Pro Bowl special teamer had recently visited the Lions and Seahawks. Graham has 180 tackles, four interceptions and two forced fumbles in five seasons with the Bears. Baltimore is making a concerted effort to upgrade special teams, also hosting LB Isaiah Ekejiuba on Friday.

Contract details:
3/23/2012: Signed a two-year, $3.7 million contract. The deal included a $1.2 million signing bonus. Another $300,000 is available through playing-time incentives.

S Sean Considine (Baltimore Ravens)

Ravens signed S Sean Considine to a one-year contract.
Considine, 29, can play both strong and free safety in a pinch, and contribute on special teams. He's the Ravens' replacement for Tom Zbikowski.

Ravens re-signed ILB Jameel McClain

Ravens re-signed ILB Jameel McClain.
McClain, who turns 27 before the season, was welcomed to a soft free agent market, but should retain his starting job in Baltimore. McClain started all 16 games at weak-side linebacker last season. He rotates out too often to be a significant IDP asset, finishing the year with 84 tackles, one sack, and a pick. Pro Football Focus did grade McClain as a solid run stopper.

Brendon Ayanbadejo (Baltimore Ravens)

Ravens agreed to terms with LB Brendon Ayanbadejo on a three-year contract.
Ayanbadejo has been of the few effective core special teamers in Baltimore. The Ravens are looking to upgrade a unit that allowed the second-most yards per kickoff return and the ninth-most yards per punt return. The Corey Graham signing should help as well.

Cardinals re-signed K Jay Feely to a two-year contract

Cardinals re-signed K Jay Feely to a two-year contract.
Feely will be 36 years old during the upcoming season, but he's still plenty accurate on field goals and set a career high with 22 touchbacks last season. The NFL's new kickoff rules certainly helped that total, but it wasn't like the Cards were scoring many touchdowns. Through two seasons in Arizona, Feely is 43-of-51 on field goals, good for an 84.3-percent success rate.

Bengals re-signed DT Pat Sims

Bengals re-signed DT Pat Sims.
A run stuffer, Sims was limited to 297 snaps in 11 games last season before landing on injured reserve with torn ligaments in his left ankle. He's appeared in at least 11 games for the Bengals each of the past four years, however, and will provide depth at tackle behind Geno Atkins and Domata Peko. The Bengals previously lost defensive linemen Jonathan Fanene and Frostee Rucker in free agency this offseason.

Bills re-signed RB Tashard Choice

Bills re-signed RB Tashard Choice.
Choice broke the news himself on Twitter. Choice drew no known interest on the open market, and will have to compete with Johnny White for a roster spot after earning his walking papers from both the Cowboys and Redskins before arriving in Buffalo last season. He's averaged an anemic 3.2 yards on 123 carries the past two years, and contributed little in the passing game. Already 27, he's close to washing out of the league.

Ravens re-signed exclusive-rights free agent ILB Albert McClellan

Ravens re-signed exclusive-rights free agent ILB Albert McClellan.
An undrafted free agent in 2010, McClellan led the Ravens in special teams tackles last season, but saw very few snaps on defense. Along with Corey Graham and Brendon Ayanbadejo, he'll anchor the Ravens' special teams unit in 2012.

C Mickell Gladness (Golden State Warriors)

Warriors signed C Mickell Gladness to a 10-day contract.

The Warriors are desperate for any big body with a pulse right now. Andrew Bogut (ankle) is out for the year, they missed out on J.J. Hickson and Andris Biedrins is dealing with a groin injury. Raw Jeremy Tyler started at center on Wednesday.

Jacob Tamme (Denver Broncos)

Jacob Tamme contract Denver Broncos

Contract:3 yr(s) / $9,000,000 Signing Bonus - Average Salary $3,000,000 End Year:2014 Free Agent:2015 / Unrestricted

3/23/2012: Signed a three-year, $9 million contract. The deal contains $3.5 million guaranteed.
Broncos agreed to terms with TE Jacob Tamme on a three-year, $9 million contract with $3.5 million guaranteed.

He'll be the slot/"move" tight end in Denver's offense, with Joel Dreessen playing on the line of scrimmage. Reuniting with Peyton Manning, Tamme will be a popular sleeper to target as a TE2 toward the end of fantasy drafts. He runs a 4.6-flat at 6-foot-4, 236, and has a knack for getting open. In 2010, Tamme racked up 67 catches for 631 yards and four touchdowns, finishing as the No. 15 fantasy tight end despite starting only eight games. Tamme just turned.

Scott Arnold has agreed to a two-year Phoenix Coyotes

Scott Arnold has agreed to a two-year, entry-level deal with the Phoenix Coyotes.

Arnold has 10 goals and eight assists in 33 games with Niagara University. He also has 22 points and 49 penalty minutes with the University last season.

Angels signed RHP David Pauley to a minor league contract

Angels signed RHP David Pauley to a minor league contract...

The deal does not include an invite to big-league camp. Pauley, who was released by the Tigers earlier this month, had a 3.16 ERA and 44/22 K/BB ratio over 74 innings last season between Detroit and Seattle. He figures to find his way into the Angels' bullpen at some point.

Joonas Rask has inked a two-year Nashville Predators.

Joonas Rask has inked a two-year, entry-level contract with the Nashville Predators.

Rask was taken by the Predators in the seventh round of 2010 NHL entry draft. He has four goals and 18 points in 32 games with Ilves Tampere of the SM-liiga.

Joel Dreessen (Denver Broncos)

Joel Dreessen contract Denver Broncos

3/23/2012: Signed a three-year, $8.5 million contract.

Broncos agreed to terms with TE Joel Dreessen, formerly of the Texans.
Houston's free-agent exodus continues unabated. A fine all-around tight end, Dreessen has received high marks from Pro Football Focus for receiving and blocking the past couple of years. He's also proven capable of high-end TE2 fantasy numbers while filling in for Owen Daniels. His 2012 value depends on whether the Broncos add Dallas Clark or Jacob Tamme to the mix. Garrett Graham ascends to the No. 2 role in Houston unless a fullback is signed to free up James Casey. Second-year TE Julius Thomas may need to stay in the incubator for another year in Denver.

Marion Barber Retired from Professional Football

PLAYER STATUS: RETIRED

Bears announced RB Marion Barber's retirement from football.
Barber isn't yet 29, but his body has begun to break down, particularly in the legs, and he's no longer an effective NFL runner. After a highly promising start to his career in Dallas, Barber averaged under 3.8 yards per carry in three of the past four seasons. The 2005 fourth-round pick was one of the NFL's most physical backs during the 2005-2007 campaigns, however, scoring 33 all-purpose touchdowns in his first three years. Ultimately, Barber was the personification of short shelf lives for power running backs in the NFL.
